Jaz Clocks and Other Clocks
This page is now being devoted to our collection of Jaz clocks, other small clocks of a similar period, marble & onyx high deco clocks and other timepieces that are unusual or eye-catching.
All our clocks have wind up mechanisms with or without separate keys - no quartz here!
Impossible to put up here all the photos of our clocks taken from different angles. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further images if required.
NB: After a run on the Jaz clocks we are currently looking for models to replace them. Hope to be able to put up some more soon. So watch this space. Please do email us to declare an interest - then we can get in touch when we have some more.

Bayard Alarm Clock
An unusual pivoted clock - swings to right or left and indeed when held in the hand through 360 degrees. The mount is made from 5 blackenamelled metal rings fastened together with a brass 'clasp' below the number '6'. These rings are apart at the number '12', thereby acting as a sort of 'suspension' for the clock. This clock is also quite heavy and we wonder if it was for use on a yacht or ship. 9cms across, 5cms high at the '12'. 1950's
CL16 £60

Kienzle Car Clock
Unusual in that this is a Kienzle car clock placed inside a wooden casing for 'normal' use. The key turns to wind and pushes in and turns to adjust the hour. Clock mechanisma is protected by a heavy metal casing secured with a bar. The base is screwed to the upper part of the wooden casing which has a well-concealed crack at the key line. Makes an unusual mantel clock. The face measures 9cms x 6.5cms. The casing in 10cms high and 7.5 cms deep. The base is 20cms long. This is a heavy clock!
Cl10 £60

Waltham Aircraft Clock
Well, what can we say? this has to be the most unusual clock we've come across. The clock - a US Waltham model - is a WW2 8 day 9 jewelled aircraft clock. It is set into a polished wood and steel desk calendar with pen holder, inkwells and drawer complete with some pen nibs and a bakelite dip pen. The calendar can be set to show date (at top) day (lhs) and month (rhs). Little knobs on the side turn these on or back. The clock is operated in a similar manner to the Kienzle clock above using th knob at the front. The whole has obviously been lovingly made in a 'home' workshop. We do wonder if it isn't all made from redundant aircraft parts. If only we knew its history.....
26cms high, 30cms across at its widest pint and 13cms deep.
This item is far too heavy and difficult to post so alternative arrangements for delivery/collection would need to be made.
CL23 SOLD

High Deco Marble & Onyx Clock
This is a large and very heavy Art Deco clock with garnitures in marble & onyx. French Marty movement with chimes and a pendulum + key! It is complemented by the lovely figure of a young girl kneeling, balancing a couple of doves on a rope. The paint on the figure is slightly worn but this in no way detracts from this magnificent timepiece. Condition is otherwise excellent. Needs a large, reasonably strong mantelpiece or similar to display!
Totally impractical to post so alternative means of delivery/collection would have to be made.
CL21 SOLD

Art Deco Marble and Onyx Clock
Art Deco Clock with garnitures featuring an exotic bird. Slight chips to the stands on the garnitures but a handsome clock nonetheless and will display well. No chimes or pendulum - winds with a key.
Not to practicable to post - alternative means of collection/delivery would need to be arranged. Suitable for the average mantelpiece!!
